Decent set of clippers
I “upgraded” from some cheap amazing 40$ pair of wahls. The clipper guards are garbage on these.. so you might want to invest in the “double magnetic andis guards” which are about 40$ in total. After that you’re going to need to get a ceramic blade so you can 0 gap these. It’s kind of a long process.. once you get them gapped they are pretty good. I noticed that I like my 40$ wahls better.. so I’m not to happy with my purchase but it was my dumasses fault haha. If I were to try again I’d probably do wahls. I kind of can’t stand the magnetic guards since you have to buy two separate guard packs to get the wahls system for fading. That being said andis guards are well worth the money.but the fact that the factory clippers are 100% non usable and the blade needs to be replaced in order to 0 gap these. Without doing those steps this machine is pretty useless. It doesn’t feel very sturdy in the hand imo. The button that turns it on is plastic, very cheap feeing. My wahl 40$ clippers have a nice toggle that is metal.. but yeah, the wahls have sliced my ear pretty good on the factory blade. I still use these.. but, sometimes I do notice I prefer the wahl guard system and just the way the lever functions on the wahl. The level travel is better on the ossters but.. anyway, I’ll have more practice. I have had my best fade on these clippers, however I prefer the wahl fading system. That 1 1/2 Gaurd makes it a lot easier to blend to the bushy tops.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Ive been cutting for 37 years faden em up.. These are the most balanced clippers that u can get. It is a little on the heavier side so I would recommend this for more for the men or stronger female.. (no pun) Its The clippers itself cut great! It’s on the medium side of cutting w makes it more like 2 types of clippers in one. It takes a good amount of hair off with ease and it allows you to get pretty tight to the skin for the fade. These classics units are really durable. Clipper is light weight no vibration and did not get too hot to handle. No issues with snag or underpower while cutting.Unlike some other brands combs slide on and are secure with no wobble or risk of falling off. Best to get aftermarket comb set with numbers. HOT, too hot to handle.
I wanted to like this item. Heard good things about it from someone I know that has actually used it. Maybe I got a dud. Cons: 1) The clippers get HOT! After about 30 minutes of use, they get so hot, that I have to either let it rest or don't use them at all. I have a set of Target Wahl clippers and they don't get as hot as these. 2) These also don't cut as close as the Wahl. Pros: 1) The clippers have great range in terms of the little lever that allows you the adjust from a "zero" to what seems like more than a "half" when fading. 2) They are quiet. 3) The cord feels heavy duty.
