Easy plug and play upgrade
Ordered this kit for our razor dirt quad 500. Everything was well marked and made for a pretty easy install. I had to modify some plastic to mount the new speed controller but not a big deal. I ended up basically strapping the additional battery on top of the original battery compartment and its been pretty secure there. The kids noticed a difference in performance right away. Easy awesomeness
This is an awesome package. He sends instructions and labels everything. If you are doubting if you can do this, trust me you can. All you need is a few tools and you are able to install this on your child’s razor. Why buy a way more expensive model when you can just buy this? The controller broke immediately. best of all, it fails as full throttle. Do not trust this for your child!
Worked for 5 minutes before it failed. Fails as fill throttle as well and nothing can stop it other than unplugging the battery. The kill switch on the throttle won't stop it and the have brake kill switch won't stop it. That means when it fails, it will take off in full throttle while your child is riding it. Hopefully they can hold the brake long enough for you to get to it. I've read this Chinese model of controller has this problem very frequently and I read other users complaining of the same problem. Also with this installation they bypass the hard kill switch, the black rocker switch on the "gas tank", so you literally have no way to stop the ATV until you reach under and unplug the battery. Don't waste your money. I put mine back to stock for the time being.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Five Year Old Love's It!
I picked up a used Razor 24v ATV with dead batteries and decided to upgrade to 36v using this kit and three new batteries. I also upgraded from 7amp/Hr batteries to 10amp/Hr. The 10amp/Hr batteries were about 1/2" taller, but still fit within the plastic fake motor housing. The Third battery fit sideways in front of the motor housing. When my 5 year old grandson started riding in the morning, the voltage readout was over 39 volts. After riding it off and on all day, the readout reflected 36volts. I would estimate his combined ride time was in excess of 2 hours with him usually running wide open. I'm 190lbs and I clocked my top speed at 10mph. I haven't checked the speed with my 50lb grandson riding it. My grandson rides a Yamaha PW50 dirt bike, and this upgrade was fast enough to satisfy his need for speed and held his interest as much as the PW50. This is the second kit I've purchased, and it is well packaged with the connectors labeled. Instructions are pretty good. I didn't need tech support, but I believe the seller offers it.

No so Good
The kit was easy to install! All connectors were labeled and description was accurate. Update: after two months and just a few rides the kit is not preforming as advertised. The atv will run for 3-4 minutes then it looses power. I have tried upgrading the batteries with no success. I contacted the company and the response from the company was sarcastic and not helpful. Brings razor dirt quad back to life!
My kids love there razor atv a lot more now my atv was sitting in the basement for a year all in parts I bought this kit added some lights and now it works like a charm it’s a little pricey but well worth the money to see the smiles on my kids face they also love having there own keys to ride it!! Has a lot more speed and does a lot better with the snow here in New England

Fantastic Upgrade!
The Razor Dirt Quad is a great electric ATV stock at 24 volts. This upgrade takes the Dirt Quad to 11! The higher top speed brings it to around 15 mph, but it's the added torque that really makes a big difference! Going up hills or traversing rough terrain become no problem for the 350 watt motor. Highly recommended!
