Best wireless adapter you can buy!
For those of you doing over wireless file transfers and or online gaming, this is the card to get. I do large amounts of over wireless/network file transfers back and forth to my file server and I used to have a TP-Link T9UH AC1900 adapter but that did not have MIMO and I was only getting about 35mbps for file transfers. With this new Nighthawk wireless adapter I am getting 100mbps file transfers over wireless! That's a huge difference! And it's all because of the 3x4 MIMO that the Nighthawk A7000 has. BE AWARE, your router also has to support MIMO or you won't get the faster transfer speeds, I have a Netgear Nighthawk X6 AC3200 router so it has the MIMO (Single User or SU not Multiuser or MU which is the next gen AC). I also do lots of FPS online gaming and this does great for that. Overall I HIGHLY recommend this USB wireless adapter if you are looking to get the fastest wireless speeds.Read full review

Great adapter, terrible software...
Although it was larger than I expected, the hardware seems excellent, so far (only been using it 1 day). Like others, I had a very hard time setting up this adapter. The software is atrocious. Some we're able to just plug in the adapter and Windows did the rest, but I wasn't one of those lucky ones. This video on YouTube is what worked for me: youtu.be / qtCGyTxXzU4 The adapter is super fast and I haven't had any connectivity issues yet (only been using it for 1 day), but if you can't get it installed you'll never know. I hope this helps others avoid the hours of research I had to do.

Incredible improvement!!
Wifi kept dropping in and out, upgraded to a nighthawk RAX12 and it didn't help on my wifi PC ( helped greatly on everything else though!! Pc had a bad WLAN card) , threw this little guy onto the pc and my cheapo dell is rocking 150MB wifi from a cross the house (60ish feet) on the 5G signal! Love it!!

Great value for fast reliable connection
Replaced an older Netgear N900 USB 2.0 that would not stay connected with 5G despite being 10 ft across the room. This relatively large unit has a magnetic base for stability and is USB 3.0 and stays auto selected to 5G with greater than 600mbps al the time. Wish it had a USB pass through though.
