Speedy and affordable SSD
I bought a few of these to use in a Synology DS 418Play NAS- even though they are not officially supported. The results are excellent! The drives are speedy and capacious. They are also light and of course very easy to install. Would definitely recommend over more expensive alternatives, like the Samsung 860 QVO, which is for some reason, more expensive. Highly recommended for high capacity, high speed, affordable SSDs

Flawless and quick
I purchased the 870 QVO as an upgrade to my current hard drive. After looking at other migration tools I decided to use the Samsung Migration tool. I did read some negative ratings about the tool as it failed when 99% of data was transferred. It worked flawlessly for me. My computer has an external dock so that it what I used during the migration process. It took about 4 hours to copy 1.53 terabytes of data. After the transfer was complete I opened my case and removed the old hard drive and replaced it with the Samsung. The speed difference is crazy. It takes my computer about six seconds to boot up now. I use a video editing program on a regular basis. It opens up in less than half the time. After about three weeks of use I'm very happy with the upgrade. Speed and Reliability Boost
Performance of multiple applications is noticeably faster and more trouble free. Improvements are the greatest is software that tracks archived file locations. Adobe Lightroom Classic is a good example. While active work was always conducted on SSD storage on the main board; many files in the software's catalog were kept on external drives with high speed USB interface. That software would continually verify catalog integrity during operation. Moving all files in an active catalog to mainboard connect SSD storage improved response and reliability. I start catalogs annually and four terabytes (3.6 in Windows) is sufficient space. Past catalogs and respective data can be archived to external hard disks after. I would have preferred NVME to SATA but not enough to spend the extra money. This storage solution was worth the investment.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
