First time we have replaced the filter in the side by side GE refrigerator we purchased this year. Weird how it doesn't click in to place straight but at a slight angle. No matter how many times we tried to get it aligned vertically it just doesn't, even when trying to put the old filter back into place same scenario. Hope this one lasts longer than the original, they are suppose to last 6 months, but our first one lasted 5 mos. These filters are expensive, cheaper on Ebay somewhat when purchased in multi pack.

I know one of the previous reviews stated that they received an error light with the other one that didn’t have the chip. I was a bit concerned. But I installed the filter, ran some water in a glass to get out the air bubbles, and so far, no error light or any other issues
