About this product

Product Information

The TC Electronic Hall of Fame 2 reverb effects pedal features Mash technology that adds expression-pedal functionality to a reverb box. It has stereo and mono inputs and outputs and four variable dials. The pre-delay switch can be set to either short or long. Three of the dials are for tone, decay, and level. The fourth dial adds various effects, including shimmer, church, plate, spring, and hall. The Mash indicator light is located in the center of the panel.

  • Seems like the best reverb in its price range

I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 simply because it's not a Strymon reverb. But then again, it wasn't $400. TCE has their Toneprint thing and I think could be useful if they made an attempt to demonstrate what each of the toneprints in their library sounds like. I've messed with the Tone Editor a bit and it's fun and challenging, but I'm not sure that I got my creations to save properly. I'll have to mess with it some more. By and large it is easy to use. You just have to experiment with it to find the effects you like and the settings of how much decay and the level of wet to dry signal. Oh... the Mash control... A nice interesting feature that nobody else has. It's kind of cool that you can boost the effect selectively as you play and control it a bit like and expression pedal. I'm glad I have it but will have to wait a couple weeks to use it on a gig.

  • TC HOF2

I’ve always been searching for the holy grail of tone since 1983. Recently my delay pedal crapped out and the HOF2 had to pick up the slack. The sound from this pedal is amazing most especially for the price. I put it up against my fellow praise and worship buddies who have eventide and strymon type pedals and bang for the buck is no comparison. The Tone Print feature just adds more to the previous statements. It’s not a delay pedal but in a jam it can get you through and sets a very high bar in the world of reverb pedals!

  • Favorite Delay Pedal!

I personally don't like to soak my signal in heaps of ambience, like a lot of the reviews for this pedal did. Because of this, I was skeptical. When I got the HOF 2 though, it worked perfectly for my purpose! The MASH switch is great, because it allows you to have a super subtle reverb dialed in, then automate swells in when you want. BE CAREFUL if you're performing live, turning this thing up and then stomping on the MASH button can be obnoxious on certain settings. All in all though, a fantastic tool!!!

  • Good reverb pedal - handles high signal level inputs too

Excellent sound quality, setting up the 3 custom toneprint sounds makes it into exactly what I want. It can handle instrument as well as high line level signals unlike most pedals. Good build quality. I didn't want a pedal that required a computer connnection, but once you set it up you don't have to use the USB anymore. Good stuff.

  • Versatile little red box

the sounds you can get out of this thing are really nice. the tone print editor is super in depth. overall great buy, even though the mash button thing is kinda gimmicky.

  • TC Hall of Fame II Reverb Guitar Pedal

This is a really good reverb pedal, and truthfully it is does more than what I need it for. It took me a couple of minutes to figure out the on-off button because it doesn't click when pressed like other pedals -- it only takes a light tap to turn it on or off.

  • Welcome to space

I use primarily with my synths. So much contour on each setting. Havent delved into the usb functions yet..but will soon. Completely addicted to church and the new shimmer. I dont get much use out of the "mash"..but its always nice to have added functionality.

  • Great pedal. Just buy it already.

This pedal has the standard reverb you would expect as well as some fun options too. There's also the ability to add other reverbs to the pedal via the free Toneprint software.

  • Great Reverb with a ton of Variations

I find all the TC Electronic pedals that I own to be fantastic, each pedal does what its designed to do very well, they're laid out well, easy to use and built like a tank.

  • Definite thumbs down on the TC HOC pedal.

I'm a pro musician, and have worked extensively on my live sound for acoustic guitar. I thought that with the HOF Reverb, given it's popularity, I could find some useful sounds. I worked and worked at it, but found almost no useful presets. All of the settings sounded metallic, brittle, and harsh. Even playing with the tone knob, I could not make these sounds achieve what I think of as "warmth". So, I sent it back. I'll look elsewhere for a good warm reverb pedal.
