Pump works perfectly. My neighbors really appreciate no more awful screeching of bad bearings and seals. And my polaris 280 is back to climbing walls and zipping across the pool. For those who are connecting the suction and discharge outlets with hard piping, the new pump sits about 1/2" lower than my original pump (which was 17 years old, nice run). So you may have to add some additional fittings if you don't switch to the pvc tubing. All of the electrical connections were the same as the original pump so really easy to unplug the power leads and re-install on the new pump. Cost of the new unit was not much than a rebuild so decision was easy to go with new. Glad I did.

Equivalent to the pump I replaced. Did notice some improvements. Installation was a breeze. Low noise. Pool cleaner back in action. Installation kit had everything needed. Well packaged for shipment.

After my generic booster pump died, I decided to go with a reputable brand and purchased the Polaris. Everything needed for the installation came with the pump, and after checking out installation videos on YouTube I had it up and running in no time. The difference in quality (to my old pump) was apparent immediately as the Polaris ran much cooler and was more quiet. It's been several weeks now, and the pump is working great!

This pump work WHEN it works. It grossly overheats even with a fan blowing on it! Any engineer (like me) can design a continuous running pump that does not do this. This design has a design fault with heat. It can be redesigned to prevent such. It seems to make no difference if the turbine has water or not. The pump is wired correct as i am also an electrician. The phase, neutral, and ground are correct. I am installing a timer to limit it's operational time between midnight and 6 a.m.

I was a little concerned with I seen that the pump was smaller than the one I replaced. But after I turned it on my worries vanished. It was actually stronger than the old pump! It ran a little hot and made a little noise the first day but after that it ran at normal heat and made hardly any noise at all.

Allows replacement of booster pump seal along with the shaft o-ring and o-ring that goes between the two halves of the pump. Make sure you use a small bead of 100% silicone seal between the metal cup on the graphite seal and the recess the seal presses into. Do not touch the seal surface of the graphite or ceramic seals with your fingers or anything else or you may get a leak. The old Graphite seal can be pressed out and the new seal pressed in with an appropriately sized socket or section of PVC pipe. This was an economical and easy fix for my leaky booster pump--highly recommended!

Bought this back in May 2018, installed in June 2018. The pump has been on every day and I have not seen any problems. It is a Brand New Factory pump not a rebult or "OME". I saved a few dollars buying it from ebay and still have a warranty.

Our pool sweeps booster pump finally went haywire after 16 years of service. So we decided, "why rock the boat" and purchased the exact same booster pump, just a little more modern and updated. This pump came with all the hoses and locking "nuts" needed. We had our pool guy install it for us because we won't deal with anything electrical but, it looks like it was an easy enough install that the normal lay person can probably do it. The pump runs very quiet.

I purchased this pump to replace the original Polaris sweeper pump in my pool. Easy install and worked fine except the shaft seal began leaking after a couple of days. I returned the defective pump and bought another one. Same scenario, no leaks upon instillation then started leaking around the shaft in about 24hrs. I am ordering a 3rd pump and will see if I can get one that doesn't leak. Never had trouble before and the original was always a good pump until it died.

My last original pump died after 11 years. This pump is quieter and much better looking pump than 1st one. I read some reviews that downed the fittings. Not the case hear. The hose fittings were super nice and easy to install really. Was nervous buying a pump on line but this pump was half cheaper than second lowest local store and 2/3 cheaper than super pool store in my area, which ridiculously over priced. I’d highly recommend this pump to someone looking.
