The story is a good study of pride and humanity I doubt that people today would set their own agenda aside to bring comfort to a dying man, even if the dying man was antagonistic, who's not afraid to die or die alone? The actors played their parts well, Ronald Regan was a decent actor!

Engaging story of a WWII Scotsman. His wounds repaired but life throws him a twist he isn't aware of. Through the kindness of his fellow hospital ward mates he ultimately finds friendship and the courage to face his future. Eventually becoming aware of his fate he reconciles to accept that pity is no ground for friendship and that human kindness knows no bounds. A rather obscure film well worth the watching. Listen for Ronald Reagan's reference to his hometown of Dixon, IL in the dialogue.
