  • 2020 Retro Phenom Build in the Antec 1080AMG

For a retro AMD AM2+ (Phenom) build, this case works great. It does show it's age with some of the features and doesn't fit longer GPUs - even the GTX 560 Ti prevents the bottom most HDD bay from being usable, but that is expected from a retro case. Fans are great, not really "loud", but not silent. Nice "whoosh" in the same tone as a room fan turned on low, but a bit quieter than that. The design is amazing! No cable management, but it doesn't have a window so not a big deal. The included PSU seems to be of good quality, but is made for older hardware so the motherboard power is only 20pin not 24pin. Not a deal breaker, works anyways. CPU cable is only 4pin, but still provides enough power. I did end up going with a higher powered PSU for 6pin GPU support. Great for an older build.
