No filters to buy with a super simple easy to clean built in filter. There are other 1 cup coffee maker's but I want a name brand like this one. Use caution when buying an "open box" item.
The product was an "open box" purchase so who knows what happened during the time it was made and packaged till it got to me? But the product looked brand new and was in the original box. With that said, it did not work at all right out of the box. Plugged it in and pushed the button and nothing. Once I received a refund, I decided to open the brewer and see if I could find the issue. Removing the bottom revealed the inner workings and found a small bit of plastic rolling around inside. Removing the insides showed the switch was damaged and was where the plastic bit was from. A search online didn't find a replacement switch and after allot of searching online a similar switch was going to run me over $10 with shipping. And I wasn't 100% sure the new switch would solve the problem, so I tossed the whole thing in the electronic recycle bin at the local landfill.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Good coffee maker
This is my third or fourth one over the years. I found out that it kills them if you make one cup after another. They are not made for that. For what they are made for they work very good and use very little coffee to make a good cup. I’d recommend this to anyone who wants a one cup maker. Works, but has some defects and arrived dirty
Functionally, it "works," brews hot water and sends it to the basket. But it arrived with coffee grounds in the filter, somewhat dirty in the water tank, and the indicator light (orange plastic) is broken. The tank leaks a small amount of water, so I will put it on a thick towel. I will keep it, but it seems poorly cared for. Great older style coffee maker
This older style coffee maker and mug is far and away superior to the style that replaced itl The mug with its straight sides is better to the hand that the mug that replaced it and the coffee maker fills easier.
