Dusty Springfield, one of the greatest female vocalists of our time. This Lp was recorded under extreme weather conditions in Nashville (worse winter storm ever out there). Dusty had cancer at the time but didn't know it. She struggled to get this LP recorded due to experiencing tremendous fatigue at the time. Her perfectionism in the studio paid off, again. She sounds great on this record and there are wonderful songs on it. Lp contains mostly contemporary sounding ballads, easy listening. Highlights: Roll Away, Wherever Would I Be Without You, Go EASY On Me, You Are The Storm, I Can't Help The Way I Don't Feel, Where Is A Woman To Go.

A big reason for this album's value is that it was the last album released by Dusty Springfield before her death in 1999. Even during the recording of this album, she was being weakened by the cancer that would eventually end her life. The songs are tender, vulnerable and tinged with a country flavor, with most of the sessions taking place in Nashville; so, it's a significant piece in the catalog of one the greatest female pop singers.

I bought this CD as an addition to my Dusty collection. I liked it immediately. The songs seem to progress naturally in their order on the CD. Although I'm not familiar with any of the writers, I enjoyed every song included. Between the writers, the musicians, and Dusty's magnificent voice, each song has it's own beauty. I wanted this album since it was Dusty's last but I recommend it because it is a fine, well-crafted piece of work. I think you'll enjoy it too.
