I swapped all of the components, CPU, RAM, Video Card, etc. from the ASUS P5N-D to the ASUS P5K. Windows 10 booted up and configured the newly found devices. No additional drivers were needed! I needed to buy a longer Ultra ATA cable for my optical drives as the connector on this board is about as far away from the drives as you can get. I also had to reactivate Windows because this was a major hardware change.

It was easy to setup and it worked great with my spare parts from two other computers.Software compatibility with Windows XP was a plus. Asus is indeed a brand of mine in future projects.

Board had wide separation of PCIe x16 cards which makes for easy cooling with pair of HD7850s. Bios easily updated. AHCI mode not listed in bios but enabling RAID fixes that problem. Atheros L1 network device must be set to "Task Offload: off" as windows 10 default of enabled causes network problem on boot.

It is brand new, with premium capacitors. It has two PCIE 16 slots, and all the SATA ports I needed, and it is a brand I trust(Asus). I know it is an older motherboard, but when it is installed, it will serve as one of my backup computers.
