This rock solid stable 775 socket motherboard overclocks very well right out of the box without changing the BIOS. I have nothing bad to say about this excellent motherboard. The SSD Express web browser feature is useful if you don't want to boot into the OS although you will have to hunt for the latest unofficial SSD browser updates. I bought an ASUS motherboard because of bad luck with 2 identical Biostar motherboards from Newegg. Subsequently I decided on a philosophy of it's better to buy a known "good" USED motherboard then an "unknown and untested" NEW motherboard. The motherboard that I actually received was the ASUS P5Q3 Deluxe which requires DDR3 ram. ASUS has a reputation of producing upper tier, quality motherboards.
I bought this to build a desktop that overclocks well. This was my first high end board and I was impressed. Very stable and runs cool. Lots of bios options. Little touches like a padded I/O shield seem trivial at first but end up being really nice details. I was able to overclock the same processor much higher than a previous board I tried. It can overclock a 2.8GHz Quad core to 3.8GHz. Getting 1GHz extra is nice.
I got this motherboard to upgrade my home computer from Windows XP to Windows 7. This board has proved to be excellent. I have been using ASUS board for a long time and they have always proven to be very realiable.
Great product. lots of ports and heat sinks. Room to expand. Works well with my quad core and 8GB OCZ ram. I was looking for something that I could grow into if needed and this definitely fits the bill. Lots of bios options as well. It is definitely something that I would purchase again or for a client give the chance.
The only problem was the cooler to the cpu, but had nothing to do ith the seller. Just some very high rips around the cpu.
