In my profession, a teacher, iPads are quickly becoming the essential tech device, even for elementary students. I bought my iPad to become fluent before I was expected to integrate it into my instruction. Besides all the traditional uses which replaces any computer (email, internet access, etc.) the iPad has applications (apps) which are infinite in diversity. I can prescriptively use these apps, many of which are free, to load onto the iPad and provide fun, individualized reinforcement to students on any level needed. I will not outgrow this unit, so keeping up with the newer versions isn't a concern, hence why I chose the maximum GB. While I'm still learning and my students are somewhat ahead of me, I'm seeing how my iPad replaces all other tech tools and is just perfect to tote around. I still love my Kindle Fire for reading and doing lots, but iPad helps me survive in my job with continually increasing convenience and ease. Plus on ebay I got a great deal on a NEW one!Read full review
The iPad was exactly as described. There was a small dent in the bottom left corner. The deal was so good that I decided to purchase anyway. To my surprise the dent was so small it was not noticeable, especially when placed in the iPad cover. The quality was excellent, like new. All the extras were great and I am so glad I decided to bid on it and won!

As an original product, the iPad is a great portable computer device. It lacks a lot of features of a traditional laptop, but for basic tasks like e-mail, web, games, movies, music, and typing a letter, the iPad is very fast and very easy to use. The design and battery life are amazing. Apple recently added the ability for the iPad to work as a standalone device without a computer. My only complaints are the lack of a good file manager, printer support, and a closed software ecosystem that's overly restrictive to developers and the homebrew community. But as a second computer or even a main computer for the technically challenged, the iPad is in a league of its own. Countless competitors over the years and still no one has been able to touch it in nearly every category. As a sequel to the original iPad, the iPad 2 is very slightly lighter and slimmer (nearly unnoticeable), can use pricey magnetic covers, and includes dual cameras for video chat. The purpose of a rear-facing camera on a device this large is beyond me, but a welcome addition, I suppose. The greatest single new feature of iPad 2 is the speed increase, especially the improvements to the video card. 3D games were often choppy on the original but are now smooth on the iPad 2. Don't expect this to last long, though, once the iPad 3 comes out and developers start ignoring this one. If you play a lot of 3D games on the iPad and want a boost in framerate, or if you want to use video chat, I would recommend an upgrade. But most people will be satisfied with the original iPad, especially given the high price.Read full review
Nice basic iPad for a good price. Pros include: 64GB memory, excellent like new condition. Cons: The language was not set to English, so the initial setup was difficult until I was able to reset it. I had to translate words by looking them up online to figure out how to change it. It also uses the old wide sized Apple plug for charging since it is an early model iPad. But still a great value and I am happy with my purchase.

I was kind of wary about buying anything advertised as "refurbished", but was pleasantly surprised. It took a while to find anything, but finally found a very small dent on the bottom left corner. It had been wiped clean and setup was quick and easy. This iPad was built in 2011 and lacks a few features of newer models, but for the price, I am very pleased.
