I am not a techie, so finding a device that is user friendly to someone who remembers writing with pen and paper, and typewriters, is a must. The iPod touch 5g is just such a product. I will never use it to its full potential, but here are a few things I can tell you: I'll never use up the 32gb of memory. It has 2 cameras (1 for video chatting/ selfies and 1 for taking pictures) and both take very clear pictures. Note: there are 2 types of the 5g, 1 has 1 camera and 1 has the 2 cameras, so be aware when buying one which you are getting. The screen is crystal clear and is a good size for its purpose. I left it on to see how long the battery will last and after 6 days, no use just on, it still had over 50% charge left in it. The best way I can rate this product is to pass on how one of the kids at Best Buy described it to me and it was "It's not the best or the fastest (compared to an Android product), it just works. This product has many features. It has plenty of storage capacity and a long battery life. It is very easy to download apps, and just as convienent to search on the web. The Siri feature is especially useful to search for info. The one thing i don't like is having to scroll continually back and fourth to read a page on the device because both ends of the page or article are cut off. Overall,I recommend this product.
THE BATTERY LIFE IS DECENT, I HAVE BEEN DOWNLOADING MY TOYS AND NECCESSARY APPS, SO DO TO THAT THE BATTERY LIFE DOES LAST FOR OVE 4-8 HOURS. NOW THAT I HAVE COMPLETED MY DOWNLOADS ETC. I WILL TEST IT TO SEE IF IT HOLDS UP TO WHAT APPLE STATES, MUSIC UP TO 4 HOURS OF PLAY, VIDEO ETC AND SO FORTH. BUT I AM HAPPY WITH PICTURE AND VIDEO QUALITY. IT IS ONE OF THE MAIN REASONS I BOUGHT THE IPOD. FOR MARKETING PURPOSES THRU MEDIA SITES, EBAY SALES ETC. LET THE FUN BEGGIN.

Battery doesnt last as long as a replaced battery as stated. So i feel the unit is not refurbished. But for half the price of a new one i will deal with it and replace the battery soon myself. Was thinking of buying another with much larger memory but not now after being told the battery was replaced and findung it was not.

This thing is ridiculous, in a good way, mostly. My 4th Gen Ipod (32GB) took about two hours to sync all my music. This one does it in 12 minutes! It's lighter, faster at everything, the camera is WAY better, and the screen is bigger. It's not quite as user intuitive, the screen formats take a little getting used to, there's a lot of silly extras, that cannot be deleted, it does not fit in a traditional sound dock, the charger is not compatible with 4th Gen, and it's longer and thinner, so I had to buy a new shock case. Overall, I'm very pleased with it. And, of course, it's cheaper on e-bay! :)
