I've enjoyed good coffee from my drip machine for years. But my friend's coffee was always the best. He is from Croatia and introduced me to this method. I also recently got an electric percolator, mostly out of curiosity, since I've used the Bialetti and Vev Vigano stovetop moka pots for the last 2-3 years, since around 2014. The percolator is interesting and good, but still not as good as the Bialetti. The Bialetti also makes it on the strong side. And the aluminum pots are very hot, hotter than the stainless. I will now reveal my little secret. The older ones are made in Italy and are better made, better machined, milled and just kind of better. The top and bottom fit better, no dripping. Easily available for about twenty bucks, just unbeatable... and fun! And easy to make and easy to clean. Simply rinse it when done and cooled off. It will start to build up "coffee residue" which enhances the flavor. And they make any brand taste better. The 6-cup is a great size. It makes about 12 ounces of coffee, their cups are about 2 ounce cups, based on espresso. Gotta go now, time for a delicious cup...Read full review

This is great. The 3 cup model is perfect for me. It makes about a half a cup of coffee but it is really dark and rich. I often make an "Americana" with it. I am still experimenting with different flame heights as I do not want to boil or burn the coffee as it is being made. Also experimenting with grinds. I have not achieved the correct grind yet with my blade grinder so I ordered a hand operated burr grinder. I will try to attach a picture to this review of the 3rd cup i made with this, (the 1st 2 cups i threw away from recommendations in some reviews) you will love the coffee! I used Espresso roast beans from Costco. You get faster at making coffee with this. I will never get rid of it. It doesn't work well on a glass top range (we don't have natural gas in Juneau AK.) so i use a small propane camp stove. I use hot water in the bottom to start with so it makes my coffee sooner. It takes 2 or 3 minutes to brew the pot on a very low flame setting. Read as many reviews and articles as you can before you get one of these, the reviews helped me get ready to use this. The bottom of the coffee maker will be hot so have a small damp kitchen towel ready every time you handle the bottom of the moka pot. Read full review

This is a great product. My wife and I used it while we were visiting Italy and we promptly fell in love with it. As soon as I got back, we bought one for ourselves and use it regularly. This is an awesome product. While it is brewing, the coffee smell that permeates the house is heavenly. And the coffee that comes out is strong, exactly like the rich European kind. Love it.

Love this Moka so much! Cannot live without it now! Easy to use, easy to clean, small but mighty! Ahaha... Makes a perfect espresso or just a simple cup of strong coffee every time. The size if perfect for my one cup of caffeine. Highly recommend!

I have the ‘3’ cup Moka Express. Just so everyone is clear, the largest amount of water I can put into mine is barely over 1/2 cup. So...not sure where the ‘3 cup’ comes from in the description, maybe for espresso cups (why 4 stars instead of 5)? There is some debate on YouTube (when I watched on how to use this item) as to whether it is an ‘espresso’ maker or just an ‘express’ maker. So...you can judge. It is fun to watch it percolate out of the top spout (gotta close it when it gets close the end so it doesn’t spit all over the place). Although, I did have to learn to keep the grinds very fine (larger ones clogged the strainer and then the thing overheated and my handle fell off)...lesson learned. It makes a strong cup of coffee, so I add a little bit of water to the final product (plus creamer...eek!). There is really no guesswork at all in the preparation, in that, you always have to fill the water full and the coffee strainer full...no half or partial cups. Read full review
