The Bose VCS-10 center speaker has good clear sound; voices are crisp and clear. But and this is important! you need a good receiver preferably one that allows you to adjust the settings on your various speakers. Stay away from Sony, Panasonic and receivers you pick up at Sears, Target ect. Try a Harmon Kardon, Onkyo, Denon. Also works best when connected to a Bose Acoustimass bass module. I first tried the Bose Vcs-10 and dual cube Bose speakers on a Sony STR-DG520 5.1 Receiver with 100watts per channel. I bought at Sears. It was bad I thought it was the speakers they sounded flat no rattle whatsoever. But I decided to give them another shot, I had already invested a lot of money on Bose speakers. So I bought a Denon Receiver with 75watts per channel. The difference was like night and day. Even without having calibrated the Audyssey Multi EQ which uses a microphone to determine the distance and size of the speakers. The sound was a lot more powerful clear and crisp. The Bose Vcs-10 is a good sounding center channel it does lack bass that other speakers have like Polk audio. But it does enhance voices which I believe a center channel should handle best. You want bass that's what subwoofers are for. All said and done I am happy with the Vcs-10.Read full review
Bose is a great center speaker creating clear dialog for a home theater. It is low profile, about 3.1" high and 24" wide which are optimum size even for a very large room. I also believe they look better than most other top center speakers. Unlike Bose surround sound speakers, Bose center speakers are compatible with regular home receivers like Yamaha.

I needed a good center speaker for my simple setup at home and this Bose center channel speaker works perfectly. Sounds great, not bulky in design, not heavy, and overall a great speaker for my needs. The price for this was also very worth it being that this is an older model. Great buy overall.

I LOVE this speaker. It sounded so much better than the small center bose speaker I had before that I had to rerun the audio setup on the receiver. It seemed like all we could hear was center. After running setup, it is better than ever. I was one of the fortunate few to find one of these brand new never used in original box. VERY happy with my purchase. HIGHLY Recommend!

I had been using a small Infinity bookshelf speaker for my front center channel. The voices came across a little muffled at times. The Bose VCS-10 Center Channel Speaker has resolved that with crisp clear voices and a sound quality that makes the whole Dolby 5.1 system sound better. I really didn't know how bad the entire system sounded until I heard it with the new Bose VCS-10. The speaker fits perfectly into my room and is a compliment to my other speakers, Polk (L/R front speakers), Infinity (L/R rear speakers) and a Yamaha Sub Woofer. I now love the way my system sounds.
