This calculator is a great buy, and is currently cheaper than its two top competitors, the TI 89 and TI Nspire CAS. When it comes down to calculations, this calculator is great. The functions provided by this calculator are necessary calculations for most of my classes in college. I am a stats major, and the statistical programs delivered by this calculator are a great help when it comes to my work. The calculator itself is easy to learn. It took me a few days to get accustomed to this calculator. (this was my first calculator that was not a TI.) I recommend this most people, but not those who need a lot of help with linear algebra, this calculator does not have many functions for linear algebra.
Did buy this as my old Casio broke, and as I wanted something more modern than a black/white screen. I don't know.. Maybe it's just me, but I don't really like it.. The screen already got a lot of scratches, having always been with the cover.. and also, the colors aren't all that great.. they look very "dead" ,and I don't find the graphs ok. And also, the AAA batteries suck, it would have been much better with a USB powered rechargable battery.. I mean, we do live in the 21th century, with USB,computers, tablets and eink books, what's wrong with you casio guys? AAA? seriously? Sure, it is a great upgrade from the old calcoulators.. but I would have expected more features.. like maybe wifi and wolframalpha built in.. or a browser.. If you got the extra cash , and you can't buy a TI nspire because of your school regulations (like me) buy this. if not, stick with the old models..Read full review
I bought this calculator to help my students understand row operation on matrices when applying Gauss-Jordan reduction on linear systems problems. Overall a very good looking calculator, a bit pricey but I got a great deal on Ebay.

Decent graphing calculator for high school students. Extra programs such as unit conversion need to be loaded via USB cable connection to a PC. Menu and user inputs are intuitive but need some time to get used too. Overall worth the $$$.

Great calculator but kinda obsolete with 4xAAA batteries. Should be rechargeable lithium battery like most phones these days. I recommend HP prime v2 or TI Nspire over this calculator. Good for SAT or ACT.
