The Cats make a rattling noise during idle and low RPM's, but its not so bad that You cant live with it......it bolted right up to the manifolds with no problems( like some had dealt with ) , it also came with all the hardware to bolt it up including the donuts at the manifolds, the gasket where the pipes join by the muffler anda plug for one of the O2 sensor holes..Very Good Quality !!....I would recommend it to others

My 1997 Chevy Silverado K1500 gas mileage was down to 11-12mpg due to bad catalytic converters. This Flowmaster replacement pipe has better mandrel bends, for increased flow, and went on smoothly with no problems. Truck is running great! Highway mileage is back up to 17mpg! Love the product.

These are mandel bent 2" stainless pipes with two Flowmaster stamped stainless catalytic converters. There is a two piece pipe connection in the middle where the left pipe crosses over to the driver's side exhaust manifold. The pipes slid together, easy to connect and sealed up using the provided quality band clamp. The exhaust brackets connecting at the exhaust manifolds were heavy duty and bolt pattern mated perfectly to stock replacement Gibson stainless ceramic shorty headers. There was a reinforcement strap welded pipe to pipe in front of both cats, giving strength to the unit structure and stabilizing the pipes. Nice feature. The unit slid in the installment area with little effort. The O2 sensor bungs were in correct position and the threads were clean. Wait to re-install sensors until you've mounted this unit. It gives you way more room for hands and tools. The rear flange was heavy duty and was the exact factory pattern. The provided flange gasket and exhaust manifold donuts were metal reinforced, high quality and undamaged, however more overall packing is needed inside to prevent unit from shifting around in the heavy cardboard box, (jus' sayin'). All welds passed my job experienced scrutiny. I hate crappy mediocre welds with a passion. I noticed a lower RPM increase off the line, not dramatic but enough to feel the difference from the stock setup. Highway speeds seemed smooth and quiet, acceleration felt a somewhat more responsive. For the extremely reasonable price I paid, did my own installation on the driveway with jack stands using socket set and wrenches, I am thrilled with the results! Performance improved enough to justify a couple of "victory" beers (hot afternoon). My 'hoe is now peppy and happy. Lol0Read full review

Overall good product I found that the flange collar holes were not perfect fit had to drive them on with hammer and drift was worried t would ruin threads on manifold studs but didn't I liked the split y pipe design it allowed me to assemble right hand side which was helpful because I had to replace leaking front drive shaft seal I'm 71 years old backyard mechanic working on my back on a piece of card board mission accomplished oh one more thing had to heat manifold nuts with acetylene torch luckily I had some new ones kicking around would be nice if they would be included could have been worse if I had not been able to save studs all and all great product

Looks good, fit good, except for the flang holes are tight or a little off center with some force thay worked there way in to place. The flange nuts were the big issue without heat impossible to get off, and to find new ones almost impossible on a Sunday i found kits on line, plan ahead.
