The Cisco Catalyst 3560-E Series 48-port rack-mountable manages switch is a standalone and aggregation switch that eases the deployment of secure converged applications. Cisco Catalyst 3560-E Series switches are the ideal access layer switch for small enterprises using LAN or branch-office configurations. They provide businesses with the ability to deploy new tools such as IP telephony, film surveillance, building administrative systems, and remote video kiosks. They help you have security as well as reliability in your networking, thus enhancing productivity. They also help protect your investment as your network evolves and your requirements change and grow. Cisco Catalyst 3560-E Series switches are fixed-configuration, enterprise-class devices that include IEEE 802.3af and Cisco Catalyst pre-standard configurations. They also offer intelligent services such as rate limiting, control lists, multicast, and IP routing. One of its key features is a Cisco Catalyst Twin Gig converter module that migrates uplinks from basic Gigabit to high-speed 10 Gigabit Ethernet. These switches combine 10/100/1000 and PoE configurations with uplinks that easily upgrade from 1 GB to 10 GB. They also reduce greenhouse emissions and operating costs thanks to proprietary Cisco Catalyst Energy Wise technology. Switches also include a modular fan and power supply, with externally available backup for safe and reliable cooling. They are also considered a highly available operation with dual hot-swappable modular power supplies and fans for fixed aggregation. Their power source is AC 120/230 V, and they use a redundant power system (RPS) connector with the frequency required being 50 to 60 Hz. The Cisco Catalyst 3560 has 48 ports, a data transfer rate of 1 Gbps, and a huge number of Interfaces1 x managing options. Other features of the Cisco Catalyst series include full duplex capability, layer 3 and layer 2 switching, auto-sensing per device, DHCP support, auto-negotiation, trunking, MPLS support, VLAN support, auto-uplink (auto MDI/MDI-X), IGMP snooping, traffic shaping, and much more. The Cisco Catalyst’s remote Management Protocol includes HTTP, RMON 1, RMON 2, RMON 3, RMON 9, SNMP 1, SNMP 2c, SNMP 3, SSH, SSH-2, and Telnet. The Cisco Catalyst switches have a flash memory of 64 MB and a RAM memory of 128 MB; they also support 802.11n devices, which give them space for growth, speed, and agility. This switch delivers secure non-stop unified network services and versatile connectivity in a one mountable rack unit (1-RU) form factor for space and power constrained environments, enabling businesses to reduce the total cost of ownership while maximizing investment protection. Great switch for the price
We are performing some long overdue upgrades of some awful old network hardware and this switch proved an excellent replacement for two old 24 port clunkers. The PoE capabilities have proved more than adequate for our new IP cameras. Excellent piece of hardware for the money.
