Closer definitely isn't the best BTE album, but it's not all that bad either. If didn't like Better Than Ezra's previous album (How Does Your Garden Grow?), then you probably won't like this album that much. In How Does Your Garden Grow?, BTE experiments heavily in each song. However, in Closer, they just head in a different musical direction overall. It's still very good music, but it's not all the same. The album is fantastic from tracks one to seven, but once it gets to track 8, it's not that good. The album from this point on is pretty much boring until the last song, "I Do", which sounds long it belonged more on 90s alternative rock radio. You'll probably enjoy this album if you're a BTE fan, no matter what previous albums you liked/disliked. Or if you've never purchased a BTE album before, and you like alternative rock, then you'll love this album.Read full review
bought as a gift it came in a resonable amount of time and the price was good not more to say I don't listen to this type of music so can not comment on that
I love this CD - it has the mellow, wholesome sounds that I expected from Better than Ezra. I would definitely recommend it!
