I would recommend this, it's almost 4 inches, works as advertised. Best to dip in water and leave soaking 10 minutes. I find it works well. The size is not perfect but adequate, I would prefer 6"+. Also, Wish it had arrived with out the chips. This is my second one in 3 years. The AAA Battery is for size reference.

If you're like me, and just experimenting with sharpening your own knives, okay, do what I did and buy a bunch of cheap stones like this one. There's nothing wrong with this stone, it's a decent size, and it works, but what I learned is that buying the cheapest stones you can find is not going to get you the awesome edge you're working towards. I'd say this stone did get my knives sharper, but nothing to brag about. My knives still have nicks and imperfections, and one of these days I'll get a better set or system.
