The one downside to this watch is that you have to ...have the Garmin connect app open 24/7 on your phone if you want to get notifications. It’s really minor. I like the watch a lot, the GPS is great and the ability to see your last run, look at your records, and see the weather through the watch menu are things I appreciate. I got a screen protector to keep it nicer longer, but so far (a few weeks in) I love it! The battery lasts almost 1.5 weeks with 2-3 shorter runs.

This is a great entry level GPS watch that's ...can handle a variety of activities, but really focused on running. The built-in heart rate monitor is an impressive and fairly accurate feature that can really be useful. You can even transfer your activities through bluetooth to the Garmin Connect mobile app on your smartphone and see plenty of data and analysis on them. Highly recommend this for beginners or people that don't want a crazy amount of features they'll never use.

I bought this watch to replace my 6-year...-old Forerunner 10. It records distance, time, and GPS coordinates just as accurately and uploads that info to Garmin Connect just as easily, and then on to websites like Strava and Alltrails. But the watchband and display are better, and the battery lasts much longer. I wasn't really interested in niceties like heart-rate, step-counting, bluetooth connectivity, etc. -- at least not yet -- so I can't rate the watch on those features. On the whole, the watch performs well enough on all the essentials at a good price, so I am pleased with the product!

All the features MAKE me wanna be heal...thy. I love the sleep feature. It records deep to light sleep and it is awesome seeing your patterns in the APP.

I bought this watch specifically because I wanted a... heart rate/foot step tracking watch and it was both highly rated by Consumer Reports and was less than $100. It does those features well. Using the smart phone app, I see that it also tracks my sleep between light and deep sleep which is interesting but it does not track REM sleep for some reason (there's a spot for it in the app but it is always blank). I think it would be more intersting to see how my sleep is divided amongst all three but nbd, really, since it was not a feature I was buying for. Also, I don't currently do any cardio so I don't use the run/walk feature, but I have noticed that the watch tracks "intensity minutes" whenever my heart rate is elevated above a certain level when working out. This is interesting to me since it shows that I am above the threshhold throughout my entire workouts. The watch is setup by defualt to adjust your daily step goal based on the prior day. I thought it was a neat feature until the watch kept prompting me to move. I guess it would be a nice feature if it was something I had been looking for, but I quickly found it annoying and turned it off in the app. The battery has been lasting about a week+. It would probably last longer but I always charge it when it is on its last bar and its usually charged in a few hours. Don't lose the charging cord since Garmin uses a proprietary cord and I am guessing that it would be expensive to replace.
