Google has created a nice device that provides music and informa...tion by voice control. The microphone is very good and will usually pick up commands from across the room. The speakers sound surprisingly good for such a small device. I wish it had tone control though. It will stream Pandora, YouTube music, Spotify and Google Play Music. You do need to have a paid subscription to play specific songs on request. I subscribed to the YouTube Music app and it is pretty good. The only downside is I have most of my personal music collection on iTunes and it will not stream. Other than that it's a cool device.

I researched differences between th...e Google Home & other brands. I chose the Google Home because it had more a personality. She tells jokes, remembers things you've said, when asking multiple questions & in my opinion, was a lot prettier. With just a little research, you'll easily find the one PERFECT for you !!! For playing music, another brands cheaper device has a tiny speaker, their medium priced device is not voice activated & their comparable device costs much more. Google is a tech company, not a retail company, so they can't inadvertently charge me for ANYTHING. That's the biggest plus for me.
