This is a relatively quiet machine. I purchased a LG prior to this and it was so loud that I had to return it very next day. The Haier arrived ahead of schedule and in great condition. No damage. We have andersen windows(casement) and so I went to a window glass shop and had a pane made out of Lexan and they cut the opening in it for the exhaust. The pane fits perfectly where the screen was. Unit works well

So if you’re looking for a portable ac unit this will do the job. Unfortunately outside of that it’s not great. It’s loud and doesn’t distribute air well. Also if you use this unit in a bedroom be prepared to have the really really bright blue backlight on all night long. The backlight on the display never turns off so basically it’s like having an extremely bright blue night light on in your room. As for the price it’s cheaper than most units and it honestly does do a good job of cooling a small room. It has potential to cool a larger room but it would most likely struggle.

Got this for my granddaughter's room. She's the only one that sleeps upstairs and there's only a unit for downstairs. This really helps her sleep at night. It's a little loud, but not so bad. Easy to install vent to window and it's on rollers that make it very easy to move around. Great that it has a remote, too. It was delivered much sooner than predicted, also. Great purchase.

It cools down a good sized area the exhaust is VERY HOT and the unit produces a large amount of water but on a 112 hot day it cooled the room down to a comfortable level and it's medium on the noise and I would buy it again. I have not got my electric bill yet so?

Not the quietest but not overly annoying. Was so great to cool my apartment. I have a larger apartment and this was the best purchase of the year! When using just the fan option it is barely audible. Easy to install although the instructions can be a bit vague. Not ugly either and larger than expected.
