While this processor is not compatible with my system, I can easily say that an Intel Core 2 Duo is a fast and capable processor. I once had a customer ask "Why does it say Core Duo when it has 2 Cores? Big Difference!" Ahem, as an MCP and Electrical Engineer, I can tell you there is NO DIFFERENCE! Duo is from the Latin "Two" and Duo is from the ancient English language translated as, duh, Two! Surprise, surprise! They mean the same thing! No matter how many cores Intel puts into their CPU's the PCI and Memory Bus will ALWAYS cause a 'bottleneck'. Do I make myself clear? If not, YOU, don't know what you're talking about! Nor do you know what you're getting yourself into.
I have used this CPU model in the past. They are a great little processor. I have not yet installed this one. I hope it is in operational condition. Regards, 1948randall. Installed in a Dell Opti 380 and is doing fine toady 22 Nov. 2019. I also added SSD...WOW!
