Current slide {CURRENT_SLIDE} of {TOTAL_SLIDES}- Best Selling in Range Finders
I have some experience with range finders hunting pronghorn in Wyoming. I always thought it would be hard to beat my dad's old Nikon Prostaff 550 as that thing is easy to read, fits in your pocket, and I've ranged speed goats out to 340 yards with it. But the 7i VR is a game changer. It's just as easy to read with dark black and bold crosshair/numbers, a crystal clear display, and its even smaller than my dads. The vibration reduction function is really what makes this thing stand out. Locking onto a pronghorn at 300 yards may take many tries with a shaky hand and could take valuable seconds, but with that spooky slow motion crosshair of the 7i, I can easily hold on a small target at that range and get very quick readings. I don't remember what the max range is, but i was able to range a windmill at over 1,200 yards! Im taking it hunting this fall and i know it's going to perform great. Would highly recommend.Read full review

The vibration reduction is more than I expected- it stabilizied the target to get a good read. In my estimation, the VR is absolutely necessary. I've had other range finders without it and it was impossible to get a fix on the target at distance. Not a problem for the Nikon.

Using a conventional ranging device is difficult if the object is small and the distance great, where knowing the distance would be most valuable, without some support. With or without support this device is more useful.

The Nikon Monarch 7i Rangefinder has performed to my expectations. Ranged buildings out to 870 yards and deer out to 370 yards so far. The vibration reduction feature is quite amazing.
