Ordinary Miracles Is possibly Jaclyn Smith's best work to date. Smith plays a judge no less who takes on the mission of supervising a teenage orphan who is on the verge of a crime spree with her delinquent boyfriend. The ageless Smith convincingly brings strength and intellgence to her role as Judge Kay Woodbury. Great sets, scenery, and costumes all add to the escalating action and drama in this slick soapfest. L.A. Law's Corbin Bernsen is on hand as Smith's ex husband who contributes to her jaded bitterness for a life devoted to service with no lasting love or children to hold on to. Family conflict, lost dreams, and unexpected hope make Ordinary Miracles an un-ordinary winner.
For those that truly want to step forward and make a difference, you will relate immediately to this judge who struggles with whether to step out of her comfort zone and get involved when no-one else will. The teen's life is a mess and there is no-one to help, it's up to her. Just how much to get involved is always a struggle, always keeps the viewer on the edge of the seat. Kindness for the sake of only kindness can and does backfire, so clearly illustrated here, but for those that stay with it, here is a true example of the hope that might actually come of it if you can brave the storms. The cast is excellently chosen. The characters are well developed. Choices posed are those we all face and can relate to. Get ready to buckle your seat belt for a rough ride with this judge all the way. You will not be disappointed!Read full review
It was a good movie. Not as realistic as it could have been but heart warming.
