This is the 3rd drive of this type I've put in my HTPC. They are very quiet, fast enough and run very cool. I have a more performance oriented Hitachi drive in with the 3 Seagates and it runs 10 degrees C hotter. It also makes significantly more noise when being accessed. After 3 years of continuous use (previously purchased drive) there are no bad or pending sectors and no dma errors.

I use it to stream movies for my ROKU using my PLEX account it works great and is fast I had to format the drive initially but that was no problem, I do not get the full 4 TB but I find that with most drives I will also us it to back up my main computer as there is enough room .

The drive cannot simply be inserted into your system without performing a file system conversion MBS to GPT for Windows 7 and Window 10 PC's. The steps can be found by Googling "MBS to GPT" and not that difficult to follow. Without the conversion process your 4TB drive will only be able to use 2TB of the actual 3735 MB on the 4TB drive. Once converted and you perform the format and naming of the drive, assign it a drive letter it will be usable (perform using Disk Management under Windows). So, far the drive has worked great. Always have had good luck with Seagate Barracuda Internal drives.

4tb HDD for $110? Hell yeah! Nice deal. Extremely fast for a HDD. Large amount of space. Can be used for games without losing too much performance in case your SSD is full.

Once you unscrew the caddy, it works fine in a SATA to USB adapter for Xbox One. 110/100
