The look, finish, and feel of this product out of the box and installed on the truck are awesome. I have been using Bilstein's series 4600 shocks on my truck (factory equip) since it was new. I replaced the originals at about 30K miles as the truck was riding pretty "mushy," like an old Cadillac. The new 4600's made no difference in the ride quality, but I put up with it for another 80K miles. I just replaced all 4 of those 4600's with the Bilstein 5100 series shocks, and wow! what a difference. I can feel the road, the truck corners and rides better, and has a "sport like" quality to the ride now. I wish I had used these 80K miles back. When I need shocks in the future, these will be my choice for sure. Spend the extra dollars for these shocks, you'll be glad you did.

Shocks and steering parts were junk when I bought my 03 z71 suburban. Installed 2" spacers and Ford keys. Made all my necessary repairs to the steering and suspension and upgrade one size larger to 285 70 17 treadwright tires. The bilstien make it drive like a dream at 70/75 mph. Great for my weekend warrior events with the family on the trails and for all around daily driving. If I had to compare them to another factory ride. I'd have to say that they ride like an escalade on the road with the added capabilities of dampening and rebound on trails. These are by no means a "Crawler" shock and too expensive for just a trail rig but well worth it for the commuter that likes to get out in the middle of nowhere and wants to be left alone for the weekend...

I decided to add these shocks to my 02 Sierra. I already have the torsion key level kit installed and noticed a slight sag lately. After adding these, my front ended up about 3/4" higher than the rear which was perfect since I also did the "add a leaf" by Rancho to the rear. Overall, the rear ended up 1" higher or at a level stance when towing my RV.

Good upgrade to my stock shocks. Have my keys cranked to max on my 2003 Silverado. Only bad thing was that they came without compressed strap. Still managed to compress them and fit them on. Great improvement in ride on handling bumps and off roading at the beach.
