I have a E-350 Ford van. It's a one ton (heavy duty) with the 6.8 liter V-10 engine. After it had reached about 100k miles, I felt that the original Motorcraft shocks had lost something, considering the mileage and all the towing and off-road use the van has had. I bought a set of Monroe Gas-Magnum Heavy Duty shocks and was immediately disappointed. Not only were two of the four shocks missing some hardware and bushings from the sealed bags inside the boxes, but it was immediately apparent that the brand new Monroe's were not nearly as good as the one hundred thousand mile Motorcraft's. After suffering with the Monroe's for the last 10k miles, I ordered a set of 4 KYB's and the improvement is striking. They are firmer than the original shocks were when new, but I like a firm shock, and the KYB does not give a harsh or jarring ride. I don't yet know how long they will last, but the quality seems very good. Unless you want a floaty, wallowing ride, I strongly recommend these shocks for any heavy duty truck or van.Read full review

Great little shocks, you really feel the difference on the ride , e250 econoline heavy truck , but they make it ride smoothly. I recommend them definitely.

Shock piston is of smaller diameter than the shock that came standard on my vehicle. Works fine for now, but I'm not sure if this shock is of same quality or will perform as long as the OEM version.
