Unmanaged network switch perfect for home applications though I don't need 24 ports it works great and best of all it is quiet (no fans) so it is working out great in my home office and is located in a av rack unit right next to my desk so again the silent operation was key. It looks pretty cool but I did mount it on the rear portion of my rack since the cables plug into there directly. I'm not a network expert so this is basically being used as a plug and play device which I see as an advantage. This is perfect for a home office or small business that doesn't have the time or knowledge to set up a managed switch with advance IP configurations.

Lots of ports and informative indicator lights make this a pleasure to add to my home network. Low price makes it that much better all around. High speed with gigabit communications where possible.
