I love this movie from the 90's. I almost think it was ahead of its time but now that I own the dvd, I can watch as often as I like. It does have extra features too which is fun.

What did I dislike about it? NOTHING. I absolutely loved it. Don't watch it when you children are around. Most of it was safe viewing, but there are scenes that I would not want my children asking about. I have not laughed like this in a long time - and I was the only one watching it! This is one of the best comedies I have seen. I highly recommend watching it. A good chick-flick. Although I am sure the guys wouldn't mind watching it too. All of the characters were top-notch. I would have LOVED to have Cameron Diaz' role. That had to be fun!
Prudes, beware! Despite its tendency to take the comedic low road, The Sweetest Thing is a near-perfect product of the new-millennial Hollywood. That's a backhanded compliment, but as a fun-loving Yankee girl's answer to Bridget Jones's Diary, the mainstream pandering of Nancy Pimental's lucrative screenplay is undeniably effective. On the opening soundtrack, Macy Gray's "Sexual Revolution" is a perfect accompaniment to gyrating guy-dumper Christina (Cameron Diaz), whose fear of commitment is tested when she meets Peter (Thomas Jane) and knows he's Mr. Right. With supportive gal-pals Courtney (Christina Applegate) and Jane (Selma Blair), she plots to snag the guy, and the movie's road-trip detour mines gut-busting gold from gags involving incriminating dress stains, oral sex, rotting food, garish clothing, and the simple joys of old-fashioned romance. Perfectly cast, raucously ribald, and conventionally charming, The Sweetest Thing is a schizophrenic comedy, but its dual personalities are irresistibly in synch.Read full review
Not just a chick flick... A bit raunchy but done well. Funny and on point.... Watched more times than I can count and I still laugh out loud!

This is definately one my favorite movies. I'm not one for chick flicks or those "dumb" movies - but this one is different. I love the plot in the movie and most importantly the continuous funny scenes. There are so many funny scenes throughout the movie. Jane takes her dress to the cleaners, the singing/music scene in the restaurant, the club, the poke in the eye - sooo many funny parts. This is a great movie to lift your spirits. I'm not even a Cameron Diaz fan, but between the three girls - it's excellent.
