Our specialist teams support thousands of patients in their own homes. We have an Inpatient Unit, a Day Hospice, and a range of therapy and support services on site. Ashgate Hospicecare is mainly funded through donations, gifts in Wills, our lottery and income raised through our shops and coffee shops.

About us

Every penny raised from sales goes towards the specialist care that we provide to patients and families across North Derbyshire & the High Peak

Ashgate Hospice is an independent charity that cares for patients with a life-limiting illness and their families across North Derbyshire. We provide compassionate palliative and end-of-life care free of charge to people aged 18 and over. While our purpose is to provide end-of-life care, our work doesn’t only begin at the very end of someone’s life – we strive to improve quality of life soon after a terminal diagnosis.

Each year, we care for thousands of people across North Derbyshire at our Inpatient Unit and in people’s homes in the community.

Charities like ours rely on the donations and the goodwill of our supporters so we can fund the care we provide. We must generate around £3 million in sales from our community and online shops, so we’re incredibly grateful for your support. We couldn’t provide our care without you.

    This was a very successful transaction! Clarification was given and an extra photo added on request. Lathe was sent as a 'kit' on a pallet which was very well done (see photo). Delivery was by Palletline (I think), very prompt and the driver was really helpful. And all for a good cause, whoever donated the lathe should be very pleased.

    I cannot praise this seller enough, not only an absolute bargain worth every penny but also going to such a wonderful cause, The item was with me within 2 x days, I could not get over how quickly it arrived.
