Fujii Shoten's main office is located in Yamaguchi, the capital city of Yamaguchi prefecture.

Kanji "Fuji" in the name Fujii means wisteria plant. They bloom right after sakura, looking like purple and pink brush strokes over young green leaves that covers the mountains of Yamaguchi, celebrating beautiful Japanese spring season.
