    Coin Errors have got to be the most fun and rewarding hobby in the Coin Industry. Searching for certain types of errors and finding those error coins is rewarding in itself. If you are a search warrior--your looking for dates and mints--might as well scan those coins for errors and kill two birds with one stone. A huge size error or a gnarly type error are sought after. When searching for dates and mints--I scan the obverse for errors but rarely check the reverse for errors for the sake of time. Knowing the really good errors on the reverse get by me. Good eyesight really helps and most of all is knowing what decade or the years they had the most types of errors. For example in 1956, 1957 and 1958 the wheat-back penny and the infamous "BIE" error are well known for this type error in these years. That was the same time when technology sped up the machines making billions of pennies every year. Quite of few errors can be graded by our grading companies. A big market for error coins.
