    This is very common on eBay when the seller is more of a merchant than a hobbyist selling personal items. The smart lock had been repackaged by someone with mixed model parts and had not been reset so a new owner could use it. The seller, who really had no way to know this, immediately refunded my purchase price and expressed regrets that it happened. Very well handled and I appreciate it. Reliable vendor.
