    As you were informed, the manufacturer stopped using the metal cap as there is a corrosion issue with metal on metal in damp/salty conditions, the plastic cap retains the vital valve core seal.

    After talking with them more, they agreed to update their photos to what they're actually sending and sent me new caps to match what is in the pictures. They were very responsive in messages and quick to send out the replacement.
