Shortly thereafter, I received a message from the seller indicating the item was lost and it would take too long for them to send me a replacement. So, they automatically initiated a refund instead.

I specifically did not want to buy Chinese, or from Amazon, and went to great lengths to avoid. These playground balls were advertised as manufactured in the USA. They have "made in China" stamped on their packaging! Also, I order from Ebay to avoid Amazon and they came in Amazon packaging from a Fulfillment Center in Ohio. They're like a parasite. Obviously, integrity is unimportant to Amazon.
