The Grip is a Trip

Anyone who's ever dropped a pick during a set knows how disruptive and embarrassing it can be. These picks not only articulate with the string perfectly, but it's nearly impossible to drop, thanks to the knurling on both sides of the top half of the pick.. The familiar 351 shape feels great in the hand, and the tone--especially on acoustic electric guitars--gets rid of most of the harsh scraping sounds that come through using other picks. But the grip is the trip. The pick stays where it should unless you intentionally drop it.Read full review...

Very good picks

.88 mm is just above middle stiffness with some flexibility. It is what I use most unless I want more volume. In that case, I use 1.0 For quieter practice on my mandolin, I use .73 mm.

All three of these thicknesses produce fine tone with no clicks or clacks. They are very easy to grip and hold. They are extremely durable and just the right size for my fingers.Read full review...

My current favorite pick

Like most guitarists I've tried hundreds of different picks over the years, and this one has been my favorite, and that of a number of friends, for a while now. It's a lot like other Dunlop picks but features the "Max-grip" pattern that keeps it from slipping out of your hands, even when they're covered with sweat. Read full review...

The picks feel soft to the touch. It does not move because of the little rough patch. Great picks. I love all dunlop picks but these are one of three picks that are my TOP Picks..lol

My current favorite pick

Maxi grips are my current favorite pick, and the 1.0mm thickness works for me in everything from .010s on a Tele to .013s on an arch top. They don’t slip, they don’t take a set, and they have a clean attack.Read full review...

Dunlop 449P 1.0 Nylon Max-Grip Standard 1.0mm Guitar

I've been a professional lead guitarist for over 40 years. These are now my favorite picks for live shows. I can sweat all I want and still never drop these. They last forever.
I used to like thin picks, but then one day I just went with a hard pick and fell in love with it. I've been a fan of Dunlop Max Grip picks for decades, but now I like the heavy ones. 1.0 is perfect for me. It still has some give. It's just much more accurate for me and so it allows me to play faster. Read full review...

Pick My Bass

Love this pick for my bass guitar. It seems to add very little color to the sound. No smack or clicks. Love it!
