Best In Its Class! Like a Fine Film Rangefinder, Only Digital!

The Olympus SP-350 is for the professional in you. It is a small camera with an eight megapixel sensor.
One would never know by looking at the exterior of the camera when it is in your hands that you are holding a mighty power.

The designers and engineers must have collaborated in many a meeting to come up with this wonderfully designed camera.

The camera has an optical viewfinder that a professional would not be without. And you also have a LCD display where you can put on the histogram by toggling it in the menu. You can also toggle the macro capability and the camera has a Super Macro from camera to subject of about two centimeters.

The sensor diagonal on this camera is almost 9mm. that is one of the largest sensors you will find on a small 'point and shoot'. You can use this camera as a point and shoot or you can dial select Manual, Shutter, Aperture or Program mode. Olympus didn't forget the professional photographer when designing this model.

All the photos taken with the camera are in color but you have the option to turn them into Black and White in the post processing mode in the menu.

The camera exterior on the model I have is metal with a black matte finish that reflects fine workmanship.

When I take a trip to Chicago's Loop, I will take this camera with me because it is unobtrusive. You can easily capture real life professional candid photos with its 3X zoom range. Remember it is the photographer and not the camera that composes.

An Oldie but a Goodie

This camera was introduced over 10 years ago, but I have yet to find a more usable pocketable digital camera with all of the features that I, as a semi-pro photographer, desire. Great Camera to be an older model...Takes great pictures and has many different features..Size and weight is average but its actually big compared to the newer models.I would recommend this camera to people if they are looking for an older model for good price that takes good pictures. Pocketable camera at a bargain price

I wanted a camera I could put in my pocket and one that was not as incredibly slow as the Nikon Coolpix I own. The SP350 filled the bill at a bargain price on auction. The pictures are tack sharp and beautiful although white balance is an issue. The downside is that the memory card is hard to find expensive. The camera did not include a cable which had to buy.
