Stellar Seashell Shots + Sphynx

I bought this camera for my dive trip that I will be taking in October. I have yet to try it out underwater, but WOW. This thing is awesome. I took a few test shots, and I am in awe at both the image quality and more specifically the zoom ability of this camera. These images have not been edited at all. These seashells are about the size of a quarter for reference, and the cat is the size of a small loaf. Haha!
It easily focused on the subject and could have zoomed in even further if I needed it too. I am still learning all of the features, but I love the fact that you can also just choose a preset if you don’t have the time or patience to learn it. I am looking forward to my dive trip so that I can take even more awesome photos. Highly recommend this camera!

Larger and heavier than I would have liked

I use this camera for work and the important feature is the periscope type lens that does not protrude out when going in and out of my toolbelt. Compared to the Panasonic I've been using this one is bulky and the zoom is not as good. The digital zoom cannot be used in the full auto mode. For these reasons I decided not to keep it.Read full review...

A lot of Tough in a little package

Purchased a factory reconditioned TG-6. Seems perfect with no indication it's not brand new. Tiny buttons and knobs make adjustments and operation a little tricky, especially underwater. Screen very detailed although not bright enough for a very sunny locations. Lots of possible automatic and semi-automatic settings. Will take a while to get acquainted with everything in the 166 page online manual. Very happy with purchase!Read full review...

Nice, solid little cam!

It's a good p&s cam, with lots of deep settings (wb, shutter, ap, is, etc.). Doubt if I could give a 5 for any cam, as they all sacrifice in one place to excel somewhere else. This one has limited zoom for video & images are not as crisp as I'd hoped. But, super solid feeling & takes fast, competent pix. Features I like so far - 4k vid, microscope & the telephoto zoom is quite adequate. Overall happy with this purchase & would buy it again. Read full review...

good camera, expecially for travel

great point and shoot on auto. all other manual controls are very confusing. It would be good if they had more training on use.
Underwater case for camera is reasonably priced and designed for the TG5 and 6
cons: Calling this a tough camera is a bit deceiving. The lens scratches easily, should have some type of cover over the lens. You can buy these 3rd party but you loose the water proofing capabilities of the camera

Great Camera

This is the second Tough Olympus I've owed. The first, a TG-2 I bought some 8ish years ago. It's taken a bazillion pictures with no problems. The focussing when I zoomed in started becoming blurred in recent months with great pics when not zooming so time for a new camera. Bought the TG-6 and immediately screwed it up by programming in some foreign language by mistake. My fault, not the cameras, yet still took 2 days to figure out how to switch back to english.

Then my second problem happened, I couldn't transfer pictures from the camera to my computer. After a few days of frustration I finally asked my daughter in law for help. Took her 15 minutes to transfer pictures. Turned out the problem was a bad USB port on my computer. Once that was figured out transferring images was a breeze.

So after close to a week of frustration (NOT THE CAMERAS FAULT) I finally have a camera that takes great pictures and I'm very happy with.

Great buy ; great features ( that i've used) . I'm not a camera buff . juat wanted a good easy to use camera .

This camera has many functions that i''ll never use . More toys came with it that I'll never use .
I wanted a camera that was water proof , shock resistant , took quality photos and was easy to download to a computer . This camera does this . Put it on "auto" it takes excellent quality photos.
Downloads easily . Doesn't come with a lot of instructions , but doesn't need them .
Price was better , less , than a camera alone . Go with this seller !

Great value & quality

My wife uses it and loves it. We lost our original one while on a canoe trip (she forgot to add the floating strap!) and had to buy another one. She takes amazing pictures and in particular the macro mode for flowers and insects. The remote option allows her to get great shots of hummingbirds.Read full review...
