Timeless Beauty

This is one of those products that was designed ahead of it's time. With 320 Bit interface and 2.5gb of onboard DDR 5 memory this graphics card still performs well even on all the current games out there. With the added lifetime warranty (if you registered as original buyer) how could it be anything other than "One of the best buys" in the industry! EVGA has led the industry since the number one company at the time known as BFG sold off their entire graphics card line to them many years ago. EVGA is to the graphics card industry what Asus is to the motherboard industry....simply the best. Happy gaming and long live the desktop!

Superb card although still not cheap even after 3 years

I was forced to pick this card as I was not willing to upgrade my power supply, not augment the chassis design of my case. This card is powered by a Dell Precision T5500 with 72GB of RAM, and dual hex-core processors. It's design is strictly for video editing, video rendering as well as multi track audio mixing and post production.

Notably it scores a 7.9 on the Windows 7 Experience Index, without overclocking. I do use the card in conjunction with video editing (known as GPU rendering), and it works great, even if it is in a single card configuration.

I can't say how pleased I've been with EVGA and this card in particular, as I've registered the card, and since that day I'm not thought about it as an individual component again. As a workstation card, for daily use it's AWESOME for what I do: which does also include some Blu-Ray resolution HD editing.

My only negate on this card is its inability to handle more than 2 monitors, in a single card configuration. This was very frustrating, in transitioning over from an AMD V4800 FirePro that allowed me to connect up 3 monitors with no issues (2 for editing timeline and one for preview). Although I've gotten over this it's still a regret.

Old but strong

While there are plenty of GTX 570 in eBay, this particular model is special. A GTX 570 with 2.5GB is rare. One of the main reasons for selling these magnificent pieces of technology is the lack of vram (1280MB regular) but the EVGA GTX 570 HD 2.5GB solves that issue.

If you can get this particular model below the $100 consider yourself lucky. Do not forget to buy a good quality PSU as this beast uses 219 watts (2x6pin PCIE connectors). I recommend 500watts if you dont plan to overclock anything and at least 600watts if you want to OC you CPU. (just to be safe)

Great alternatives to this card is a GTX 660 or an HD7870/R9 270.

Cuda rendering for older Macs

The 2.5 GB GTX 570 lets my 2009 Mac Pro render Premiere Pro projects faster than real time.
No card modifications required.
The GTX 570 does have more fan noise than the OE ATI Radeon card, but can save hours in editing.Read full review...

It works with my eccentric rig and I'm happy with it.

For once, installing the linux drivers went without a hitch. I just needed to do it through CLI package management tools. Pretty good card, great for the price. I'm able to play everything I have, just not on fanciest settings. Pretty happy.Read full review...
