FUN FOR THE WII FAMILY

Hi, you are looking at a good game for the Nintendo Wii. Notice how I said good, and not great. There are a few complaints about this game to keep it from getting a 5 out of 5. This game did come close to getting a 3, but the humor, and the multiplayer saved the score.

Let me list the good parts of this game, and there are a lot of good parts. I am from the old generation and remember how new & exciting Duck Hunt was. You had the light gun, but could not kill Krypto the Super Dog. The beagle must have been from Krypton, because the bullets never affected him. This game is better than Duck Hunt, but not by that much. In this game you have to shoot Chickens. The game gives you a variety of ways to do so. A shot gun, machine gun, pistol & riffle. There are a number of Chickens you must shoot before your ammo Or time runs out (it depends on what game mode you are in) If you master the level, you move to a different level, and you get different scenery and new items to shoot. Every Chicken you shoot will do something different. Some will even throw eggs at you to block your view. Multiplayer is the best part of this game, but if you play by yourself it can get kind of boring. This game will also save your high scores. This game DOES NOT require the Wii Chuck.

Now for the bad parts. Even though it is funny to shoot the chickens. It can get repetitive. If you do not have another person to play this game with, you will be bored quickly with this game. The last problem is, this game was made for the casual gamer, but there is NO way to save your progress. I only get to level 4 of this game, and then I quit, because it takes up too much time.

I hope this review was helpful to you, but if it wasn't please keep in mind it took me longer to write the review than it took you to read it.

Chicken Shoot

I bought this game for my 2 sons, 15 & 11, but they thought it was a little boring. On the other hand, I (their 46 yr old Mom) thought it was fun and easy to do. Some of the Wii games are WAY too complicated for me to bother with, but this was very easy to use and kinda silly so I had a good time with it.Read full review...

Great game for what it is

If you are looking to puchase this game - here is the longand short of it. This is a very basic very easy shooting game. It is NOT adult oriented by any means. However I (a 36 year old mom) and my husband and even my mom enjoy playing it with or without the kids. This is basically a shooting game where you shoot every chicken you see. That is it. There are several levels. Two player is actually more fun as you are shooting at the same chickens and you can "snipe" the other players chickens. It is stress relieving and fun on a basic level. Great for kids, seniors, or just someone wanting some mindless stress relief.

As long as you do not expect any more than that you will not be disappointed in this game. It is very simple and simply entertaining.

Soul-crushingly boring!

Not a very exciting game. The same chickens come at you on the screen over, and over, and over, and over again! Very poor effects & the music score makes you want to point the gun at yourself and shoot! My 5 year old is bored after two plays. The graphics most definitely look like something out of a five-year-old downloadable casual game. The action is soul-crushingly boring. Chickens from all walks of life pop onto the screen at varying intervals. You just point the Wii Remote at them and press B to shoot. That's it. That's the game. These harmless chickens just keep popping up, and you keep popping them off. Occasionally you get weapon power-ups and bonuses like time boosts, but some of them are more like punishments than bonuses. The shotgun is actually way less effective than the standard pistol, and getting a time bonus in this game is sort of like voluntarily extending a torture session.Read full review...

Ok game

Works good on 1 player but freezes up a lot on 2 players and gets boring quickly. Good for about 15-20 minutes then time to play something else.

Good game for little kids

My 5 year-old loves it. It is a great kid's game and a good deal at the going price point. Adults or older kids will likely find it boring, as it is pretty much the same thing over and over (shooting chickens).Read full review...

TURKEY SHOOT

A CUTE GAME FOR ANYONE OF ALL AGES. IT TEACHES AIMING AND TIMIMG PRETTY WELL, BUT I THINK LITTLE ONES HAVE A HARDER TIME REMEMBERING TO LOAD THE GUNS WHEN IT RUNS OUT.... I BOUGHT IT FOR MY 6 YEAR OLD FOR EASTER AND SHE LIKES IT WHEN SHE PLAYS ALONE, BUT WHEN SHE GOES UP AGAINST SOMEONE ELSE WITH BETTER COORDINATION SHE LOSES BY QUITE A BIT.. OVERALL, SHE AND I BOTH ENJOY THE GAME ALOTRead full review...

Chicken Shoot Wii

I bought this item for Grandpa who is a chicken farmer and recently purchased a wii. This was a perfect gift for him, paired with the gun holder available just about anywhere.

The game is just what it says it is. You shoot chickens, they are everywhere, so much so they'll even run into the screen and slide down in front of you. The audio is pretty funny. There are some chickens who throw eggs at you and have the potential to egg up your screen. We killed about 2 hours between 4 of us playing in rotation. There is another game you can play where you catch eggs as the chickens drop em. We may have not completely understood, but it seemed rather pointless to play that...
I dont see this being a game someone picking up and playing more than a handful of times, but it is like shooting fish in a barrel and worth a laugh or two.

Boring Game

Decided to buy this game because I liked the idea of shooting chickens, but the game didn't live up to my expectations. I thought that the graphics would be decent, and I would shoot at funny looking chickens making funny noises...and that there might be dramatic chicken deaths...NOPE. It's a pretty boring game. The graphics are simple and you just shoot at chickens flying by at random. You get points for shooting them, and at the end of four short levels, the game is over. There's nothing fun about it. It's even hard to use the remote because you have to reload after every 5 or 6 shots by pushing the A button, so guns don't really work for this game. I played for about 15 minutes, my game was over, and I only felt like turning the wii off. Hopefully, I can resell it without much of a loss.Read full review...

Excellent game for younger kids and special needs kids!!

I purchased this game for my special needs son who is developmentally delayed. He's 19 but mentally somewhere between 6 an 8 years old. It can accomodate multiple players, which is nice to share. It does not require the plastic gun accessory for the controller, which is parental preference of mine. You do, however, shoot as many chickens as you can. That is all you do. Find and shoot a variety of cartoon chickens and occasionally shoot flying eggs. Even I have fun playing with it. It is probably one of my best game purchases for my son's needs and I recommend it for young children.Read full review...
