Good floating line to punch out casts on a windy day.
Aggressive taper in this line designed by Bruce Chard allows casts when the wind is blowing. The head is a total of 40 feet, with the last 10 feet tapering down, but still thick enough to keep up to 40' in the air on longer backcasts before launching into a forward cast. Running line is just thin enough to shoot well. Although a "tropical line" it seems to tolerate down to 50 degrees. This is not a line for skittish bonefish on a calm day, but again if the wind is blowing, this will help to get the cast out there. It is overweighted about a full size so the head on this 9 weight is more in keeping with the head on a 10 weight in a more standard line.Read full review...
