What I should have purchased in the first place

These go on an indicator panel showing the position of my automatic chicken house door. The reed switches aren't directly exposed to any weather, but are exposed to the outside air. The metal leads corrode off after a few months and the switch has to be replaced. All my attempts at sealing the switch leads have been for naught.

These switches have no exposed non-copper leads. They are completely sealed. The leads they come with are of a very generous length, in my case that mean no soldering - a great convenience.

After a few months, they are working fine, no signs of any corrosion. The time and energy I spent in the past would have more than made up for the added cost. These are worth it. Glad I found them.Read full review...
