great upgrade easy install
Very nice product. I replaced the stock Medium spring since I was only getting about 2 inches of travel on this 4 inch model. Now I average 3 inches travel. I weigh 150 lb. this is with the preload dialled off. This is very easy to install since the spring side is dry so no oil worries. Just take out the preload cover screw and 22 mm fork cap. Then take out the 5 mm screw from the bottom of the fork. Then screw it back in a couple of turns then hammer it into the fork and the whole spring assembly will pop out the top. Grease will leak out the bottom during this process so protect your tire and disc or they will get slimed. Also remember the 22mm cap has a lot of spring pressure behind it. This may not work out for you if you weight much more than me. Just put a tie wrap around the fork while you ride and measure the travel your current spring gives you. If you are only getting 2-2.5 inches of fork travel I would order this spring. It's cheaper to try this before thinking of replacing the whole fork. Before changing it I thought I may need another fork to get added travel. I'm very happy with this upgrade.Read full review...
