iRig, you dig?

I bought this iRig HD 2 for my daughter who plays all of the instruments herself (guitar, bass, drums and keyboards) to create her own original songs. She loves the updated HD sound features it has vs the original iRig, and how it blends everything together smoothly and makes any edits required a simple task. If she's happy with it, I'm happy I bought it for her. Enuf said.Read full review...

With GarageBand it's as easy as "plug and play"

I've already recorded two tracks using my iRig HD 2, an acoustic-electric guitar and Garage Band on the Mac Book Pro. It sounds even better using the latest Garage Band for the iPad 6th gen tablet and I will be using that later this morning.

It comes with USB-lightning cables, a Velcro strip in case you want to put it on a mic stand for live use with your iPad or iPhone and a starter guide. Registering your iRig online is easy and entitles you to free amplifier and sound FX patches that you can download for use with your PC or Mac Book if you choose those options. You will need 1/4" cable for guitar or you can use a microphone with an XLR output and cable.

Best part (if you own an Apple device with Garage band) is the free classes at the Apple Store where the trainers will help you setup and use your iRig device. I am already selling most of my analog and physical devices simply because using this device makes all that stuff obsolete - just bring a small combo amp if you really want to amplify onstage, but you can plug this into an Apple device and a PA and get every sound you can imagine. Really handy!

Worth it. Fantastic functionality. Easy to use.

Love this. It has made practicing and just having fun portable and convenient. Exactly what I was looking for to replace having to hook up all the pedals, amps, find free power outlets and set up the space.
I can sit on my porch and play along with songs using tonebridge and the included software is nice too.
Really a small living environment game changer for someone who just loves to play.
worked right out of the box and with your existing corded headphones. (I wish I could use my Bluetooth phones, but I'm sure there is a newer version with this option...
The price is right, it's worth it. I was on the fence for a year and kept coming back to buy after being frustrated with all the cords running around for my guitar rig.
A lot of fun, wish I'd had it 20yrs ago.

Full Amplitube!!!!

The Irig HD2 is pretty awesome on its own merits! As a versatile headphone amp, pre amp for your live rig, audio interface direct to your DAW or even as a replacement for your live foot pedal collection during live performances.... But the real value is in the full version of Amplitube that comes with this unit.. I've had the trial version for a bit now and love that I now get full use of all that Amplitube has to offer and was able to get it for free by purchasing the Irig HD2. Couldn't ask for more. !!!!Read full review...

Works well

I've only had it a couple weeks, but so far it appears to be more reliably recognized by my iPad than my first interface, which was a non HD iRig. It does what you'd expect it to do: bring your guitar's signal into the iPad to be used in various audio apps or DAWs. You can easily monitor the output via the headphone jack or the amp out jack. Gain and volume dials allow for simple adjustments.Read full review...

Fun toy!

I'm very happy with this product but only after a long struggle figuring out how to get it to work with my 2019 iMac running macOS Catalina 10.15.6. Initially it seemed it wouldn't work but then I figured out that you have to give the iRig HD2 FULL DISK ACCESS permissions in System Preferences - SECURITY & PRIVACY not just FILES and FOLDERS. Remember that if you're running macOS Catalina 10.15.6.Read full review...

My brother said this is God's work.

It seems that iRig HD 2 can fulfill many guitarists' needs. The size is small but it's functionalities are big. Moreover, the QR code inside brings a guitarist a professional app for free.
