Looks good and affordable

Got it for my 8 year old who loves squirrels. She figured it out in 2.5 seconds and the squirrels did to about the same. Able
To keep out large Stellars Jays but the Crows
seem to be learning. Excellent for smaller populations of squirrels.Read full review

by TOP CRITICAL REVIEW

Not recommended - lasted less than a week.

I totally do not recommend this product. I had it up for 1 week and the squirrels had chewed through the plexiglass front making it unusable.

In addition, the feeders I have used in the past have drain holes in the bottom to allow water to drain out if the lid is left up in a rain storm. This feeder has no drain holes.

The last thing I don't like about it is the mounting method. I like to be able to take down the feeder to empty out food remnants and the mounting method for this feeder is to permanently attach it to the post. I actually put picture hangers on the back so I could mount it where it could be taken down if necessary.

Made of good solid pine and well made but it's no match for a hungry raccoon

I put this up on my tree and the squirrels loved it. There were 20 or 30 squirrels fighting over it so I bought 2 more. Then a raccoon found it. All the animals tore it up. They chewed the wood and pulled on the Plexiglas. They ripped the lid off. The box is still on the tree and I still fill it. I think they like it better with the lid ripped off. The lid keeps the food dry and fresh but the animals like better access with it ripped off. I'll wait until they totally destroy it then I'll mount another one. It's built from good solid pine and the hinge was very sturdy but that small wooden box was no match for the raccoon and the many squirrels. Ha ha ha, I enjoy watching them from my window. SQUIRREL FEEDER CEDAR

Wood box is a great value. The plastic glass only took the squirrels a day or two to break. And something knocked off the top off on all of them. The screws are very short.

Disappointed in quality but great price.

It's smaller than my old wood squirrel feeder but noticed the one side is a tad shorter so lid is not flush. The plexiglas is so thin it bowed when inserted into the slots and only lasted 1 day. Feeder was full of whole peanuts and they must had been very hungry...they actually chewed/broke plexiglas!!!!!!!! I'm not sure if it was squirrels or raccoons but next morning plexiglas was destroyed. Went to Lowe's and purchased a thicker piece of plexiglas and now no problems. Price was great but disappointed in the quality. Read full review
