Decent fighter for your dreamcast.

I'm new to virtua fighter. Love fighting games, and always been interested to actually own a vf game. Instead of just emulating it or smth.
Good graphics.
Gameplay is smth to get used to. But it has a nice flow to it. The varied stages and terrain are smth I wish virtua fighter continued to do. I'll say that it's not as feature rich as tekken 3. Only having a decent training mode. Arcade and vs modes for regular and team battle.
Music is also decent. Maybe not as good as other vf games. But it has bangers.
Overall a decent game to have. It doesn't go for much either. Good luck trying to convince your fg friends to play this lol.
I will say that vf4 evo might be the better package as a whole. But if you have a dreamcast this isn't a bad addition to your library.

If you loved Virtua Fighter 2 on the Saturn. This is your game !

I remember playing virtua fighter 2 on Sega Saturn. This game is probably the best sequel to any fighting game I have ever played. It builds on the second installment bringing old elements into the third installment, making any virtue fighter 2 fan feel right at home. It offers superior graphics for its time. The Game play is very smooth and, very reminiscence of virtue fighter 2 only virtue fighter 3 seems perfected. All of the old characters are back and they all offer most of their old moves and they even say the same quotes at the end of the fight . However team battle is not very good. It's just like virtue fighter 2 as in having to wait for load times in between each characters fight. It can get to be boring. ANd you can't tag like in dead or alive. All in all it's a must own for any virtue fighter fan. it's not like Virtua Fighter 4 where the controllers get goofy and confuse us vintage players of the series.Read full review...

Good but tough.

This game is harder than I expected every fight is like a boss fight this is the only virtua fighter game with the sumo wrestler character he was in a downloadable update of 5 but never got that so this is the only way I can play as him.Read full review...

Greatest Dreamcast fighting title of All-Time

The most realistic 3D fighting stages ever, period.

As stated, the fighting stages in Virtua Fighter 3 are the most realistic of any and all 3D versus fighting games ever. Even Virtua Fighter 4's and 5's are completely flat and featureless in comparison.

You simply won't find a believable fighting experience anywhere else, at least not in the well known Virtua Fighter, Tekken and Dead or Alive series.Read full review...

Virtua Fighter 3tb

This is a great fighting game from Sega. If you are a fan of the series pick this game up. Great controls, good graphics for the time. This game is one of the few reasons to buy a Dreamcast.

A Marvel of a game

This game is a marvel. I remember as a teenager watching the AOU trailer for Model 3 hardware and not believing that games would ever look that good. In 1999 I bought the Dreamcast (still the best console purchase i've ever made) almost entirely to play this game on my TV. It was worth every penny than and holds up perfectly now. Virtua Fighter has the most intricate fighting system in all of gaming, easy to get into, difficult to master. This is one of the greatest fighting games of all time and a treasure for any fan of fighting games or just videogames in general. Amazing.Read full review...
